We start by passing Swingers, a newly opened indoor putt-putt golf venue for adults, along with other nightlife hotspots, before making our way through restaurant row, where we stroll past dining destinations like Orla, Citizens, Libertine Social, Jumi, and StripSteak. Continuing down the convention center hallway, we peer through the windows to catch a glimpse of Mandalay Bay's impressive pools before arriving at the entrance to the Shark Reef Aquarium. Along the way, we pass multiple Starbucks locations before returning to the main casino floor. We then explore the spa and pool entrance area, stroll past the hotel lobby, and step into the Four Seasons, a "hotel within a hotel", where I share an insider tip. — If you'd like a nice, upscale dining experience in Las Vegas, have lunch at Veranda within the Four Seasons. You can sit outside near the pool and take in the fancy ambiance. Heading outside to the car/valet entrance, we then make our way inside to the Mandalay Bay tram, which connects guests to Excalibur and Luxor. Finally, we walk past the House Of Blues restaurant, pass the sports book, and then arrive at another hotel-within-a-hotel, currently called "W", where a suspended rock sculpture makes for an impressive lobby centerpiece. The Andrews government is facing criticism over its decision to launch a Royal Commission into Melbourne’s Crown Casino – with one Opposition member arguing the government was shamed into holding the inquiry. The Victorian government on Monday called for a Royal Commission after a New South Wales inquiry into Crown’s flagship Sydney casino found evidence of money laundering and links to organised crime. Opposition gaming spokeswoman Steph Ryan said the state government was shamed into the decision which Premier Daniel Andrews – who was not present when the announcement was made – did not want. Victoria Opposition Leader Michael O’Brien also targeted the government on Twitter for the move, calling for a different Royal Commission. “And while Labor is calling Royal Commissions, Victoria deserves a RC into this state’s COVID-19 response,” Mr O’Brien wrote. “We deserve answers. We deserve the truth.” The Melbourne casino will continue to operate throughout the inquiry, however, Victoria Gaming Minister Melissa Horne insisted it would “operate within the context of a Royal Commission examining its suitability”. "There are thousands of people working in Crown, we need to make sure that we’re protecting jobs but also too were doing it in a way where the casino is operating in a suitable manner," she said. Following the announcement on Monday, Harold Mitchell resigned from Crown's board, becoming the fourth director to step down. The Royal Commission was expected to hand down its findings on August 1.
