Luxor Las Vegas opened on October 1993 on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip as an ancient Egyptian themed resort. Luxor has 4,497 hotel rooms and features a 30 story pyramid that is the 4th tallest in the world. On top of the pyramid is one of the brightest light beam in the world. Over the year, the light beam has been dimmed down to conserve energy. Luxor is located on the Las Vegas Strip between Mandalay Bay Las Vegas and Excalibur Las Vegas.
