Incluso una sección de soldados fueron solicitados oportunamente para impartir seguridad a la guapa visitante que desde ese día en que piso Tampico, deslumbró con su belleza sin par al público asistente. María destilaba simpatía a raudales. Todo era sonrisas y aplausos para ella, que por primera vez en su vida pisaba tierra tampiqueña, donde se contaban por millares sus admiradores.
