Este coche de Fórmula 1 llegó al taller como parte del lote que traía el primer Scalextric San Remo que vimos anteriormente en el blog. Se trata de un Williams FW 23 con publicidad de Compaq de la marca Superslot, como indica en el chasis la inscripción de Hornby. Como se ve en las fotos el coche llegó con una falta a priori importante pero tras evaluarla un poco le dimos su tratamiento. Además de que tenía el frontal quitado, el alerón delantero estaba algo roto, le faltaba un espejo, el alerón trasero estaba doblado y una de las piezas que cubría la suspensión estaba levantada, que al verla en profundidad resultaron también estar rotas las piezas de las suspensiones delanteras. Por la parte baja el chasis parecía estar correcto, aunque se veía más claramente la rotura del alerón delantero. No estaba muy desesperado pero requería de intervención urgente antes de que no tuviese solución. Las trencillas se veían usadas pero con algo de vida y los neumáticos no presentaban mucho rodaje, que me parecieron muy curiosos por los dibujos que traen que parecen casi de rally más que de Fórmula 1. Lo primero fue reparar lo más sencillo, el alerón delantero, que tan solo requirió de un poco de cola para sujetarlo a la pieza frontal. Tras unas horas de espera en la posición de la foto el resultado del arreglo fue satisfactorio. Lo siguiente desmontarlo todo para ver el alcance de las roturas de las suspensiones y del cobertor con publicidad de Michelín que lo cubre. Al igual que los F1 de Tecnitoys, este de Superslot es un poco complejo de desmontar, aunque con cuidado se van sacando piezas y se le va cogiendo la lógica al asunto. Una vez todo desmontado, un poco de cola en las roturas de las suspensiones y en los cobertores de éstas para ver si con suerte se podía arreglar. No es que fuese a mejorar el resultado en pista del coche pero ganaría bastante estéticamente con este arreglo. Tras un buen rato de espera parece que el remiendo había surtido efecto y este coche iba a poder lucir en condiciones. Todo había quedado firmemente pegado y parecía que estaba listo para volver a unir todas sus piezas. Por último un cambio de trencillas, que aunque las que venían no estaban mal del todo unas trencillas blandas de 3 mm le podían quedar mejor estéticamente y además aumentarían la superficie de rozamiento para captar la electricidad. La prueba en pista fue muy moderada, sin darle mucha caña para que no se estropease la reparación. El coche rueda bien, suelta mucha chispa por alguna razón que desconozco pero no pierde contacto ni hace amagos de salirse. Para su conservación, va a reposar en vitrina metido en una caja de Superslot que le queda perfecta aunque pertenece a otro coche, pero eso es lo de menos, lo importante es que se conserve bien y seguro.
