In addition to our Christmas special this year, I've also decided to upload a full, extended, complete version of our review of the 1976 version of Casino Royale as well. Because it's not Christmas without a Bond film on! Also, as we sadly lost Sir Sean Connery this year, this seemed like a fitting tribute. Having Connery's involvement in this film would have made for a very different result! This was a movie that started off looking to be part of the already established Bond franchise, but ended up as something rather different .... with members of the cast either walking off the set or demanding to have their magic show put in the film, a revolving door of multiple directors and writers ... and a budget that spiralled out of control! So join The Big Daddy D and his buddy Luke as they discuss the movie at length over a few coffees ... and later, a few beers! (Back when we could do such things, fucking 2020...) This was only our second episode of "We Need To Talk About ..." and I wasn't sure back then if our viewers would sit and watch through a entire video if it was over half an hour long.
